Concept
Hidden deep in the highland forests of Yumoto Onsen — the heart of Nikko National Park — Yunomori feels gently separated from everyday life. Mineral-rich waters rise abundantly from the earth here, warming the inn even as snow blankets the peaks outside.
With only twelve rooms, every stay is unhurried and private. We hope you will linger, savouring the season's local flavours and the stillness of the highlands at your own pace.
Stillness, drawn from the forest
The Hot Springs
Yunomori's water is a milky, sulfur-scented hydrogen-sulfide spring — drawn straight from the source and never diluted. Every bath in the inn, including your private open-air bath, flows continuously with this living water.
Pure spring water flows continuously through every bath — undiluted and unrecirculated, exactly as it rises from the ground.
Soak beneath the trees in complete privacy. Each of the twelve rooms has its own outdoor bath, warm through every season.
Renowned for their density of minerals and gentle sulfur scent — a true highland onsen long treasured for its restorative warmth.
